Negative impacts of the Internet on human society and communication

At present, it is possible to speak of the Internet as one of the most significant inventions of humanity. The Internet is not only a worldwide system of integrated computer networks where a huge amount of various information is stored. It is a whole virtual world. The Internet is used almost in all spheres of human activities – home (Smart Home usage), communication, education, transportation system, etc. With the emergence of the Internet human life became easier. Carrying a huge amount of advantages, this invention, however, also possesses certain disadvantages that affect human life. The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to examine the main negative impacts of the Internet on human society and communication. This thesis discusses the Internet phenomena that affect society in the most negative way. Also, the thesis analyses the Internet as a communication channel. It deals with the influence of the Internet on the language system, and with the impact of impunity on communication. The information was gathered by studying literature and conducting the research in the fields connected with the topic of this thesis.

Vyjadřování emocí, citů a nálad prostřednictvím internetové komunikace

Bakalářská práce se zabývá vyjadřováním emocí, citů a nálad prostřednictvím internetové komunikace. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části: část teoretickou a část analytickou. Teoretická část shrnuje dosavadní poznatky o internetové komunikaci, neverbální komunikaci a stručně představuje emoce v nejširším slova smyslu. Analytická část si klade za cíl charakterizovat tzv. "smajlíky", jež jsou užívány v psané komunikaci prostřednictvím internetu. Důležitým bodem analytické části je ucelení přehledu, jak a které emotikony použít v konkrétní situaci.

Facebook English: on the specific features of English netspeak

Cílem této diplomové práce je představit jazyk elektronické komunikace ('netspeak') jako jeden ze současných proudů vývoje jazyka. Práce vychází z hypotézy, že 'netspeak' představuje samostatnou multimodální jazykovou varietu, která sdílí některé rysy s neformální mluvenou angličtinou. Na vybraném vzorku textů anglicky mluvících studentů britských univerzit ze sociální sítě Facebook byla provedena detailní analýza tohoto jazyka. Kvantitativně-kvalitativní rozbor shromážděných dat a jejich srovnání s ústní formou standardní angličtiny pomocí mluvené složky Britského národního korpusu, nalezení společných i odlišných znaků a nových prvků (odchylky od standardního pravopisu, novotvary, atd.) potvrdily tuto hypotézu. ! Nedostatky v mluveném i v psaném projevu žáků vyšších ročníků ZŠ

V této práci jsem se pokusil zprostředkovat bližší pohled na sociální sítě, elektronickou komunikaci a způsob, jakým ovlivňují mluvený a psaný projev žáků. Moderní komunikace obecně je také v této práci zmíněna. Pokusil jsem se najít a zaměřit se na konkrétní stránky elektronické komunikace, obzvláště prvky internetového slangu, jakými jsou chatovací zkratky, emotikony a také stránku stylistickou. Porovnal jsem nashromážděné informace s jazykem žáků a prokázal vliv ze strany moderních způsobů komunikace. V části výzkumu žáci vyplnili dotazník a rozeběhla se další část výzkumu mluveného a psaného projevu. Zformulováno bylo několik hypotéz, které se podařilo prokázat, několik z nich se ale zcela prokázat nepodařilo. Byl vytvořen závěr popisující současnou situaci s tvrzením, že jak mluvený, tak psaný projev je ovlivňován moderním způsobem komunikace.
